About This Project

This immersive first-century Jewish wedding feast was designed to transport guests into the world of the New Testament, allowing them to experience a traditional wedding celebration through historically inspired architecture, furnishings, textiles, and handcrafted details.

As a Scenic Artist at Capernaum Studios, I contributed to nearly every stage of the environment's creation, from scenic painting and faux finishes to set dressing, floral styling, prop fabrication, and environmental detailing. Every design decision was made to support authentic storytelling and create a welcoming space for live guest interaction.

Scenic Painting

Painted and weathered faux architectural columns and decorative elements to create the appearance of aged stone and plaster.

My Contributions

Set Dressing

Arranged furnishings, rugs, table settings, florals, and decorative elements to create a cohesive first-century wedding environment.

Textile Installation

Installed and draped large fabric elements throughout the set to define the space and enhance the visual atmosphere of the celebration.

Prop Fabrication

Created realistic food props, including handcrafted bread and table displays, to support historical authenticity and visual storytelling.

Vendor Coordination

Collaborated with caterers and production teams to integrate real feast elements into the environment, ensuring the visual design and live guest experience worked together seamlessly.
